Growing up in the rural area of central North Carolina. Daniel spent most of his time outdoors running through creeks and fishing at the local ponds. As he became an adult his love for fishing and the outdoors grew, leading him to start chasing waterfowl during the winter months when the fishing was not as productive. In mid 2005 Daniel discovered fly fishing. Later that year he picked up a fly-tying vise and started creating his own flies to chase large panfish and bass in the ponds he grew up fishing. By the end of 2005 he had decided to put away the conventional fishing gear and focus solely on fly fishing and waterfowl hunting. As it would turn out he took his fly tying to the next level and started a custom fly-tying company. With the waterfowl community starting to grow tremendously he decided to step away from that and only focus on fishing and tying his mini/micro streamers and began to chase trout in the NC foothills.  In 2019 Daniel had found himself in the midst of burn out and disappointment. The fly-fishing industry had begun to turn into what he referred to as "The Good Ol' Boy Club" and had gotten very political with the climate of politics at the time. So, in 2021 Daniel stepped away and laid his fly rods and tying vise in the corner. Fast forward to 2025, the past four years had been hard and was the most trying time that he would face. Losing both his Brother and his Mother in that time, Daniel needed a hard reset. Little did he know that with the last gift from his mother being a brand-new compound bow and his youngest son finding the love of fishing, he would find himself in a place that he had long forgotten and the place that held such a profound peace in his soul. So as it would stand 2025 became the year that he would start to Reclaim his Wild and find his place back in the outdoors.
